World class customer service. Very responsive. In fact the most responsive, professional team supporiting my travel. A few questions and one minor issue we had were answered within minutes. The place itself is well maintained. We really enjoyed the privacy and natural scenery, which is greatly appreciated with the massive glass windows in the back. If you’re wondering about privacy, houses are far away and mostly obscured. The back and right glass walls are private. The front and left are exposed to the roadway, though we never saw any one on it. Hot tub is totally private. If you’re curious about the winding roads to get to the house. All roads are in fantastic shape. The paved road is a narrow two lane road, with tight runs, no shoulder, guardrails, or reflective arrows at the sharp turns. It’s not steep. The dirt road has its steep areas, but they are short in distance. I saw a Dodge Caravan go up the road like it was a Billy goat. Internet was great. It has YouTubeTV.

We stayed here during Hurricane Helene - which somehow missed the area. We lost cell service while we were there but were fine otherwise, but the house manager came to check on us to make sure we were okay. We also had trouble with the internet the first day we were there, and it was fixed the next day. We were very happy with the house and its amenities, and the management was top notch. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

The setting is absolutely amazing. All the amenities make it so that you don’t want to leave. I would absolutely stay here again or at another one of their properties. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a mountain retreat!

Watia View was so peaceful and captured the incredible views from every room. Our dogs loved the swim dock and chased as many balls as we could throw. There’s so much to do in the area, but our favorite place was the cabin. We will definitely book again!

Like others have said, the views are worth the drive up! Just incredible from every room!! And we loved the privacy - not seeing a single neighbor’s house…. Everything was also incredibly clean.

Great place as described. Beautiful views, incredibly convenient to NOC, which is important to us. Really great covered outdoor spaces for total flexibility for weather. Not trapped inside if it rains! Love the architecture, perfect for the lot and setting.: not a cookie-cutter design. We will be returning!

Great place - best Airbnb we've stayed at! Very private, yet close to all that the NOC has to offer. Breathtaking views of the Nantahala National Forest. Great amenities including hot tub, fire pit, and bluetooth sound system. Note: the road in is very steep and mostly gravel, but we were able to do it in our FWD Mazda CX-5. Make sure you have good tires.

This truly is one of the most magical Air BnBs that we have ever stayed at. The views are breathtaking. As some other reviews said before, you probably need four wheel drive to get up the last little bit of the mountain to the house, but it’s worth it. This was the most relaxing weekend and time that my family needed together.

Fantastic vacation spot! This place exceeded our expectations! No detail was overlooked. The views were incredible, a well stocked kitchen, clean and welcoming. The amenities in the cabin were unparalleled! They even had firewood and a fire starting kit! The location to the Nantahala Outdoor Center nearby made us feel like we had our own personal outdoor playground. We hiked, kayaked, rafted, rode the GSMR train, enjoyed Bryson City, and the national park. Thank you so much for an incredible trip!

We booked an impromptu Thanksgiving trip, and had a wonderful stay! The home is exactly as pictured. It is well-appointed, and the beds sleep nicely with fine linens. Plenty of blankets, Keurig w/ coffeemaker, gas stove with timer. They even had little fans upstairs for the bedrooms in the closet. Hot tub was nice and worked well. The only thing that would have made our trip better would be to have had TV's in the bedrooms. I don't know, I guess I'm just spoiled to my TV watching over me while I sleep, LOL!!!! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay and enjoy your beautiful home. Until next time!

Everything went great. The view was worth it and it was great to stay their. Location was good for everything south GSM. And then not that far for Gatlinburg. The drive up the mountain was not as bad once you get use to it. Being from florida not use to those inclines but I had 4x4. We brought all our food supplies to cook their. All amenities were there and washer dryer. I would stay again and will probably book another stay as my official location when visiting the GSM.

Beautiful and clean home. Comfortable beds and living space. Wonderful view and quick access to NOC. Fun outdoor space with hot tub, corn hole, and big Jenga set. Safe and quiet setting.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful time at this beautiful home in the mountains. Wouldn't need to leave the house if you didn't want to but so much to do in the surrounding area.

The views are the most amazing thing about this contemporary, comfortable mountain escape and can be enjoyed from nearly every room, and from both the front porch (looking over Lake Fontana in the distance) and back decks. Watching the light and weather move across the mountains each day was mesmerizing!

The house was comfortable for our family of 4 (+2 dogs). We enjoyed the property over the first week of April and had the mountain top to ourselves!

Re: the house and the set up:

- Kitchen had basic pots/pans/tools/etc for simple meals (consider bringing some pot holders, storage containers, seasonings, sugar/flour/oil/etc if you'll be cooking). We appreciated the french press but coffee filters were on hand for the traditional drip pot.

- Outside you'll find a nice gas grill and a substantial fire pit with plenty of wood.

- Both bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. The one with the queen bed has a small attached bath with shower. The larger bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom that has the king bed and is accessed through the loft.

- There is one tv (we couldn't get the cable to work but the roku set up was good for our needs), a bluetooth controlled sound system, and several games and puzzles.

The hot tub was wonderful following our hikes up and down the mountainous trails and the fireplace kept us cozy when temps dropped.

We didn't spend time at the Lake (levels were very low due to dam maintenance) but did hike to the small waterfall about 1.5 miles down the mountain. We also zip lined across the gorge with the fine folks at NOC and highly recommend this if you're into such adventure!

If you like getting away from it all, Watia View is an excellent contender for you!

My husband and I and our two dogs spent three nights here and I cried the day we had to leave, if that tells you anything. Everything from the views from every window (and every deck!), to the architecture, the privacy, the local tips in the guidebook, the comfy bed, the stocked kitchen, the excellent sound system to listen to music, the fireplace... this house had it all. I can't think of a single thing that I would change. The host made everything so easy, too. Check-in/out was a breeze and the guidebook in the house had answers to any question we might have, but there were also emergency numbers available just in case. There were a few jigsaw puzzles that I enjoyed and lots of books if you forget to bring your own. Simply amazing. We cannot wait to go back!

This place was amazing! Do not need a 4x4 to get to the place. Best cabin we have ever stayed at. Has the best mountain views all around the cabin and awesome amentities. My dog loved the space. And everything was made safe from the fireplace to the grill. Highly recomend! Just book it already!!

Firstly, this place is beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice. On top of a great stay, we had clear communication, and we felt privacy even in the community. The inside is new, welcoming, and spacious. You need to enjoy your meals and coffee outside. Trust me, you’ll have options. Either the back deck - with a stunning view or the front porch where you can see into the valley. The hot tub and fire pit made the early evenings that much more relaxing. Our group would gladly return here and we’d recommend it to anyone. If you’re looking for something in the mountains with that fall experience, this is the place.

This cabin is in an excellent location with amazing views from just about every room. Everything was very clean and neat. We were able to enjoy relaxing days at the cabin as well as be close to hiking trails and the river/lake. We would love to come back!

What an incredible place! You will not regret booking this house! From the very beginning the host was very quick to respond to all of our questions. This cabin sits on the top of a mountain with the most beautiful views and provides complete peace and quiet. When we got there we didn’t want to leave. Between the beautiful space, the views, the fire pit, hot tub, corn hole, games... this place has it all. It was extremely clean and there was a very helpful welcome book that gave us all the information we needed. We found all the furniture including the chairs on the porches/decks and bed to be very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. This place exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to come back!

This house had everything we could have wanted. It has amazing views and games to help keep the kids entertained. The house was also very clean and communication was easy and quick with the host. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This place is an incredible find up in the mountains of NC. The views were stunning, you have everything there for cooking if you don't want to go out, and you're nearby the Smokey National Park, hiking, fishing, also down the road is zip lining, white water rafting, a lake with boat, kayak, and paddle board rentals. Or you can sit in the comfort of the place, read, and take in the views.

TL;DR: This is one of the coolest Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at! I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a mountain getaway near a lake.

The location is tucked away in the woods on top of a mountain. The pictures on the listing really don’t do the view justice. The listing has a private dock for their community so we were able to rent a boat (20 min from rental place) and keep it at their dock. I highly recommend renting a boat because Lake Fontana is absolutely gorgeous. We rented from Almond Boat rental and they were great and dog friendly.

The house is perfect for just about anyone. WiFi is great (we had Zoom calls all week and it worked fine) but we also had perfect cell phone service. Important to know that the house is very soundproof. Meaning that people could work on the patio or be by the fire and you can’t hear it inside.

The amenities are really nice. They had bean bags (corn hole), jenga, hot tub, board games, and a fire pit. They have dry wood for guests at the fire pit.

It’s also super dog friendly.
Now quit reading my review and just book the place already! You won’t regret it!

The Watia View was an amazing property. Just the place to relax and enjoy nature. Our host was wonderful; all instructions were provided and exact. WiFi was great! We would love to stay again.

I've never been so sad for a vacation to come to an end. The house was as pictured & described, but better. There are incredible views from all levels & rooms of the home. The hot tub is divine after a long hike. With the surroundings it's hard to want to stay inside so this house is perfect to enjoy the outdoors without going far for those who want less action & more relaxation. Lots of fantastic hiking around and it's a quick drive to NOC so plenty of things for families to do, places to eat etc. We cooked/grilled most meals & were very happy with how the kitchen was stocked to make that easy. It is so peaceful & beautiful up there, it really is a real treat. Book NOW-seriously you won't regret it!

Access to NOC on the private road allowed us to reach rafting and zipline in under 8 minutes. Amazing! Corn hole, jacuzzi and fire pit were terrific and used daily. We will be back!!!!

Its rare to find a rental where real life views live up to the pictures, Watia View however was that rare instance. The views were beautiful, and the cabin was designed with large windows on two floors. The covered lower porch has a hot tub, Jenga and cornhole to enjoy if it's a rainy day. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The roads are narrow but well maintained. Great experience!

This beautiful cabin will always be cherished and treasured! As we left April 6th and headed back home to Florida, I remember thinking, Kila has never been happier! A peaceful, beautiful cabin with incredible views. On April 7th my wife of 37 years, passed away suddenly of a blocked aorta while eating dinner in our Sarasota home. No symptoms, no pain. This cabin gave her such happiness and joy!! Someday, my son and our two dogs hope to return! Kila felt this was heaven on on Earth, never realizing the next day, heaven would be her home....❤️

We had a great time exploring the mountain and relaxing at the house on our last-minute weekend getaway. The house was absolutely perfect...perfect location, spotless, perfect set-up...the hot tub and the fire pit were also really nice! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many stars in the night sky. Such a breath of fresh air from city life! We were the only people up on the mountain. Even the NOC was closed! It was really nice to unplug!

We absolutely loved Watia View! You will not be disappointed when you choose to stay in this cabin. Beautiful views, pristine and peaceful describe this cabin at the top of the mountain. While enjoying the fire pit, we felt as if we could touch the stars, the sky was so clear. You will get the best sleep ever on the comfortable beds, thank you for choosing such comfortable mattresses! We will definitely return to this slice of heaven in the sky!
